Sithulpawwa，意为“宁静心灵之山”，是一座偏远而大气的岩石寺庙建筑群，拔地而起，位于雅拉国家公园边界内的灌木丛林中。花岗岩顶上有佛塔，可通过岩石切割的台阶到达，周围的岩石上有 160 多个洞穴，其中一些还保存着非常古老的绘画。它仍然是一个活跃的朝圣地，可以欣赏到荒野一览无余的景色，通常从蒂瑟默哈拉默沿着狩猎公路继续行驶即可到达。

历史

The monastery is believed to have been founded by King Kavantissa in the 2nd century BCE and grew into one of the great forest-monastery complexes of the Ruhuna kingdom, said at its height to have housed thousands of monks. Its cave paintings and inscriptions rank among the oldest in the country. After centuries of abandonment in the jungle it was rediscovered and restored as a place of Buddhist worship.
